Digital Workshop Automation: Build AI-Powered Workflows with Make & OpenAI

OBJECTIVES:

This 3-day hands-on course empowers professionals to design, build, and deploy intelligent automation workflows using the low-code platform Make, enhanced by OpenAI!s GPT

capabilities. Participants will learn to connect business apps, trigger multi-step actions, and deploy smart AI agents (e.g., chatbots, personal assistants, content generators) tailored to real- world use cases.

The course progresses from automation basics to advanced AI-driven scenarios and culminates in a capstone project, allowing teams to present fully functioning AI agents for real business tasks.

OUTLINE OF PROGRAM:

Day 1 – Foundations of Automation & n8n Essentials

Module 1: Introduction to Intelligent Agents

Understand the components of intelligent agents and how they interact with data, APIs, and users. Differentiate the differences between AI automation and AI agent workflows.

Module 2: Introduction to Make Platform

Explore the n8n interface and learn key node structures, trigger logic, actions and app integrations. Build your first ‘Rule-based’ automation workflow.

Challenge: Automation Challenge: Inbox Classifier Bot

Build an email classification agent using Gmail triggers, conditional logic, and response workflows

Day 2 – Smart Agents with OpenAI and Make

Module 3: Introduction to OpenAI & Prompt Engineering Basics

Learn how to craft effective prompts and connect OpenAI APIs to workflow.

Module 4: Build Smart Content Generator, Chatbot Agents

Learn how to automate report generation, article summarisation, and meeting minute creation. Develop a chatbot using Make + OpenAI that answers questions, gives recommendations and retains memory.

Module 5: Build Context-Aware & Memory-Based Workflows

Insert memory nodes, filters, and contextual prompts to simulate human-like interactions.

Capstone Project: Initiating

Form teams to discuss the scope of capstone project.

Day 3 – Business Use Cases, Deployment & Capstone

Module 6: Real-World Use Cases of AI Agents

Explore AI automation workflow blueprints across HR, marketing, sales, customer service, and operations.

Module 7: AI Agent Deployment Across Channel

Learn how to set up web hook triggers, integrate with Telegram, WhatsApp, or embed agents into a (mockup) website.

Capstone Project Build Sprint

Teams build their own end-to-end AI-powered agent to solve a selected business challenge.

Capstone Project Presentation & Feedback

Teams pitch their solution, demonstrate workflows, and receive feedback from peers and instructor.
