Workshop Synopsis (Abstract):
Do you often have to convince your key project stakeholders that your project idea is what they need in your job? Whether to solve the chronic business issues or initiate a change to meet business objectives, you are not confident that your proposal will get to the senior management review board. Have you ever why external business consultants are so skilful in making the perfect proposals that resulted in your management’s buy-in for six-figure projects? A confident, skilful and authentic advocate of your or your team’s project is the must-have attributes of a senior project manager.
If you are a project manager or business analyst, you need the skills to sell your project ideas to your bosses and key stakeholders. If you are a business consultant or account manager, these skills are paramount to your business success. Project selling skills are learnable, but to master them, it takes enormous effort and frequent practice.
In this webinar, we will learn a simple framework that you can take home to hone your project selling skills. This webinar is an extension of the speaker’s previous project finance investment session. We will build on the know-how of project decision making from a financial perspective to a more strategic perspective. The session covers a consultative project selling framework based on the decision dynamics of business buyers and project stakeholders. The framework that you will learn is not part of any knowledge areas in the PMI PMBOK.
In this one-hour session, you will learn the following:
- How To Convince Stakeholders/Buyers To Agree On The Need To Change: Do this, not that
- How To Convince Stakeholders/Buyers To Buy In Project Proposal: This way, not that way because…
- How To Convince Stakeholders/Buyers On Urgency of Action: Act now, not later
- How To Convince External Stakeholders/Buyers To Collaborate With Your Team: With us, not them
