Workshop Synopsis (Abstract):

Project success starts from building a strong teamwork and collative team. The process of team development was essential to collaborating individuals and turning them into productive team.  The team development was easy in theory, but in reality, that was a big challenge for the project leader to build relationships among a group of people with a wide diversity of expertise.

Bruce Tuckman proposes 5 stages of group dynamic (forming, storming, norming, performing, and adjourning) for team development in the 1960s.  Role conflicts such as overlapping responsibilities are the most common issues during the forming and storming stage of team development. The efforts of team forming will be wasted if there are conflicts among the team members.

Ineffective communication will never lead the team to success; proper communication could help to increase the ability to perform. Effective communication usually starts with building trust, and the starting point of build trust was building rapport with the team member. A team with high rapport could increase the tendency to communicate openly and create opportunities together. These are the key element to build a successful team and maintain the creative atmosphere within the team.

In this webinar, the framework of building rapport to develop effective communication will be shared. The framework could help the project leader to build the team in a positive group dynamic.
