Program Synopsis:
Nature has given us one tongue, but two ears, so that we may hear from others twice as much as we speak.
Listening Skills are one of the most essential skills needed by all of us. Unfortunately, we all love only to talk and hate listening. These hidden gems are the most critical skills at work and yet the least taught.
This session allows you to learn the skills to become an active listener and responsive from the passive, or selective listener. Becoming an Effective listener makes the person speaking feel valued and supported, prevents miscommunication, speeds productivity, and creates more active forums of discussion.
Program objectives:
Attendees will leave the session being able to determine listening effectiveness in three dimensions,
- Understand common barriers to Active-Responsive Listening – learn TEN COMMANDMENTS & CAPAS Method to listen better
- The in-visible and non-verbal aspects of listening – explore the said and unsaid message, the ‘unseen’ conversation; how to respond constructively
- The Scenario Playtime – deploy strategy to put new skills into immediate action.

Sunnie has been actively involved in training and coaching for the past 7 years. Prior to training and coaching, Sunnie worked a fantastic 20 years in a corporation as an engineer. She aspires to create a positive impact on people by uncovering their fullest potential. As she transforms to a trainer, she is also a people-neer – an engineer who engineers people.
Sunnie is passionate in neuroscience and human psychology where she develops several programs focused on mindset shift, empathetic workplace and inner state management with Head, Heart and Hand.
